BEAN, Robert C. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday Jan 5, 2013
Beloved husband of Jacqueline Bean for 53 yrs, loving father of Cindy (Bill) Trigg and Scott (Deb Withington) Bean; proud grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 1.
Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He was truly a family man who was loved by all who really knew him. “Bucko” as he was often called, knew everyone and everyone knew him (sometimes not a good thing for his teenage children). He was definitely known as someone who would never hesitated to speak his mind and he viewed everything as black or white….there were no shades of grey in his color wheel! This approach to life earned him another nickname, “Archie” (Bunker), of which he was extremely proud of. Bob was an avid sports fan, but baseball & softball captured his heart. In his younger years, he excelled at both sports & earned numerous honors for his performances on the diamond. After his playing days, he kept the sports fire burning by coaching, which was followed by years of watching and rooting for all of his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. As with everything else in his life, Bob was also a dedicated employee. He retired from Ameren Missouri (Union Electric) after 40+ years of service. Above all else (including sports & Stan Musial), his love for life & his family is likely beyond anybody’s understanding. More than anything, he loved his wife Jackie, to whom he was happily married for over 50 years. While he was often not someone who would openly express his emotions, the years softened him somewhat and we all got glimpses of his feelings from time to time. As a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and other role he played in someone’s life, he will be missed beyond belief! Bob, Dad, Bucko, Bob-O………we MISS you dearly and love you beyond belief!!!!!! May God Bless you and keep you in his care FOREVER!!!!!!!
