Devoted husband of Mary Ann (nee Lueckerath) Hoven with whom he celebrated over 63 years of marriage. Loving father of Steven Hoven, Susan Hoven (Wagener), Dennis (Donna Hartmann) Hoven and the late Ronald Hoven. Beloved grandfather of Heidi Fields, Josh (Erica Lumetta) Wagener, Daniel, Debra and Dylan Hoven. Dear great grandfather of Michael, Katelyn and Joshua Fields. Dearest brother of Lorraine Bauers, Joseph Hoven and Dorothy Callas and the late Richard and John Hoven. Our loving uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

Howard was a disabled Firefighter for the City of St. Louis.

Funeral services from STYGAR FLORISSANT CHAPEL & CREMATION CENTER, 13980 New Halls Ferry Rd., on Friday, February 8th at 9:15 am then proceed to St. Angela Merici Catholic Church for 10 am Mass. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 9374 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO, 63132. VISITATION THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
